II CONGRESS OF LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION AND AGROINDUSTRY ESPOCH 2021

Bonding. - The Faculty of Livestock Sciences held the inauguration of the II Congress of Livestock Production and Agroindustry ESPOCH 2021, making four virtual rooms with capacity for 500 attendees in each one available to the participants. Agribusiness, zootechnics and veterinary medicine will be the topics to be discussed from November 8 to 12.

On Monday, November 8, 2021, the Faculty of Livestock Sciences, inaugurated the II Congress of Livestock Production and Agroindustry ESPOCH 2021, which aims to share knowledge and experiences in the workplace related to the field of agribusiness, zootechnics and veterinary medicine.

Ing. Vicente Trujillo, Dean of the Faculty of Livestock Sciences, welcomed the attendees. "These activities become the spinal cord of our present and future vision, marking institutional development with the analysis and generation of new knowledge," he said.

Ing. Pablo Vanegas Ph.D. Vice-rector for Research, Graduate Studies and Liaison, made the presentation of the event highlighting the work of the organizational committee, as well as the intellectual value of the speakers who will participate in the development of these conferences that will take place from November 8 to 12 of the current year.

The presentation of the second edition of the scientific journal RECIENA was also held in this space by Dr. María Belén Bravo, Director and research professor. "This magazine disseminates scientific knowledge of a wide spectrum in the areas of agroindustry, zootechnics and veterinary medicine, including lines of research such as biotechnology, development of new products, agro-production, management and agribusiness among the main related areas, highlighting the multidisciplinarity , contributing to the productive, social and cultural sphere, representing a contribution to the development of science. " she explained.

To conclude the formal event, Eng. Byron Vaca Ph.D. Rector of ESPOCH, inaugurated the II Congress of Livestock Production and Agroindustry ESPOCH 2021, predicting successes to the speakers and attendees. "I do not know a better tool than scientific dissemination to make us freer, understanding freedom, as decision-making based on knowledge and a critical spirit." He highlighted him.

The academic sessions concluded with the face-to-face dissertation of Eng. Xavier Hervas, former candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Ecuador on Friday, November 12, 2021; Eng. Marcelo Moscoso, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Livestock Sciences thanked him for his presence with the delivery of a certificate of participation, followed by his closing speech.
